Privacy policy

Last updated: August 2026

The protection of your personal data matters to me. In this privacy policy I explain which personal data is processed when you visit this website, for which purposes this happens, and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website is:

Armin Rogl
c/o Media Brothers GmbH
Lindengasse 65/10
1070 Vienna
Austria

Phone: +43 1 997 1465
Email: webmaster@arminrogl.com

2. General information on data processing

Personal data is only processed on this website insofar as this is necessary for the operation of the website, or insofar as you have consented to processing that goes beyond this — in particular for analytics or marketing purposes.

The following legal bases apply in particular:

  • Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – your consent, in particular for Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.
  • Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – where processing is necessary for pre-contractual measures or for the performance of a contract.
  • Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
  • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – where processing is necessary to safeguard legitimate interests, for example the secure and stable operation of this website.

3. Hosting and website delivery

This website is delivered via Lovable. The technical infrastructure uses, among others, services provided by Cloudflare.

When the website is accessed, technically necessary information may be processed, in particular:

  • IP address
  • date and time of access
  • page or file requested
  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system
  • referrer information
  • technical error and security information

This data may be processed in server or infrastructure logs.

The processing serves the secure, stable and efficient delivery of the website as well as the detection and prevention of technical faults and attacks.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of this website.

Insofar as the service providers used process personal data on my behalf, this is done on the basis of corresponding data processing agreements.

Due to the technical infrastructure, processing of data outside the European Economic Area cannot be entirely excluded. Where a transfer to third countries takes place, the data protection safeguards provided for this purpose are applied.

4. Locally hosted fonts

This website uses the typefaces Archivo and Instrument Serif.

The required font files are delivered locally by this website.

Loading the fonts therefore does not establish any connection to Google Fonts, fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com.

In particular, no IP address of the visitor is transmitted to Google for this purpose.

5. Consent management / cookie settings

On your first visit to the website you can decide whether you consent to the use of optional analytics and marketing technologies.

The following categories exist:

  • ESSENTIAL
Technically necessary functions. These cannot be deactivated.
  • ANALYTICS
Google Analytics 4. Deactivated by default.
  • MARKETING
    Meta Pixel. Deactivated by default.

Analytics and marketing technologies are not loaded before you have actively consented to the respective category.

In order to store your choice, consent information is saved locally in your browser. It contains in particular:

  • the categories selected
  • the time of the decision
  • the version of the consent configuration

This storage is necessary so that the website can respect your decision on further page visits.

You can change your choice or withdraw consent already given at any time via “” in the footer of the website.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

6. Google Analytics 4

If you consent to the “Analytics” category, this website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

The provider is:

Google Ireland Limited
Gordon House
Barrow Street
Dublin 4
Ireland

The measurement ID used on this website is:
G-HGS3QGPPPS

Google Analytics is used to statistically evaluate the use of the website and to better understand which content is relevant to visitors.

In particular, information about the following may be processed:

  • page views
  • sessions and interactions
  • approximate technical and geographic information
  • browser and device information
  • interactions with certain links and calls to action
  • referrer or origin of the visit

On this website, selected interactions are additionally recorded as analytics events, for example clicks on speaking, coaching, voice, contact and social media links.

This website does not transmit any names, email addresses or message content to Google as analytics events.

Google Consent Mode v2

Google Analytics is set up with Google Consent Mode v2.

Before your consent, the following states in particular are set to “denied”:

  • analytics_storage
  • ad_storage
  • ad_user_data
  • ad_personalization

The website uses a privacy-oriented implementation in which Google Analytics is only loaded after you have consented to the Analytics category.

Without this consent, no Google Analytics measurements are triggered by this website.

The legal basis for the processing is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

The retention period for user and event data in Google Analytics is determined by the retention period configured in the Google Analytics property.

Data transfers to Google

In connection with the use of Google Analytics, it cannot be excluded that data is also processed by Google outside the European Economic Area.

Further information on the processing of personal data by Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can withdraw your consent at any time via “”.

7. Meta Pixel

If you consent to the “Marketing” category, this website uses the Meta Pixel.

The provider for users in the European Economic Area is:

Meta Platforms Ireland Limited
Merrion Road
Dublin 4
D04 X2K5
Ireland

The pixel ID used is:
1250431851730263

The Meta Pixel makes it possible, in particular, to statistically record visits to this website and to measure the effectiveness of advertising activities on Meta’s platforms.

After your consent, the Meta Pixel may in particular record information about your visit to the website, technical device information and certain interactions.

Currently, after marketing consent, the standard event PageView in particular is triggered.

The Meta Pixel is not loaded before your explicit consent to the Marketing category. Prior to consent, this website neither calls the Meta Pixel script nor fires a pixel event.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Joint controllership with Meta

Insofar as data about actions on this website is collected in connection with the Meta Pixel and subsequently transmitted to Meta, and the purposes and means of this processing are determined jointly, Armin Rogl and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited may be joint controllers within the meaning of Article 26 GDPR.

For certain subsequent processing operations, Meta acts as an independent controller.

Further information on the processing of personal data by Meta: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

You can withdraw your consent at any time via “”.

8. Contact by email

The website provides links for making contact by email.

The central contact address for enquiries is:
hello@arminrogl.com

If you use such a link to get in touch, your own email program will generally open.

The website itself currently does not use a contact form and does not store the content of your message in a website database.

The data you transmit is processed exclusively in the context of email communication.

Depending on the content of your enquiry, the processing is based in particular on:

Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, if your enquiry is directed at the conclusion or performance of a contract or at pre-contractual measures,

or

Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, if there is another legitimate interest in handling your enquiry.

The data is stored only for as long as is necessary to handle the enquiry and to comply with statutory retention obligations.

9. Social media links

This website contains links to my profiles on:

  • LinkedIn
  • Instagram
  • Facebook

These are ordinary external links only.

No social media feeds, like buttons, social plugins or SDKs of these platforms are embedded on this website.

Merely visiting this website therefore does not establish any connection to LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook as a result of these links.

Only when you click on such a link do you leave this website, and the privacy policies of the respective platform operator apply.

Independently of this, the Meta Pixel described above is activated exclusively after your separate consent to the Marketing category.

10. No automated decision-making

In connection with this website, I do not carry out any decision-making based solely on automated processing, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

11. Recipients of personal data

Personal data may — insofar as this is necessary for the respective purposes — be transmitted in particular to the following categories of recipients:

  • hosting and infrastructure providers
  • IT and technical service providers
  • Google Ireland Limited, subject to consent to analytics
  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, subject to consent to marketing
  • email and communication service providers in the context of your enquiry

Data is only disclosed where an appropriate legal basis exists.

12. International data transfers

When using international service providers such as Google, Meta or certain infrastructure providers, processing of personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area cannot be entirely excluded.

Where necessary, such a transfer takes place on the basis of the mechanisms provided for by the GDPR, in particular an adequacy decision of the European Commission or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

13. Retention periods

Personal data is generally stored only for as long as is necessary to achieve the respective processing purpose or as long as statutory retention obligations exist.

In the case of processing based on your consent, data is generally processed until you withdraw your consent, or in accordance with the respective deletion and retention periods of the service used.

Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

14. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have — provided the respective conditions are met — in particular the following rights:

  • right of access to the personal data processed about you
  • right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • right to erasure of your personal data
  • right to restriction of processing
  • right to data portability
  • right to object to certain processing operations
  • right to withdraw consent with effect for the future

You can change or withdraw consent given for the analytics and marketing technologies used on this website at any time via “”.

To exercise your rights, you can contact the following address:
webmaster@arminrogl.com

15. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

In Austria, this is the:

Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde)
Barichgasse 40–42
1030 Vienna
Austria

Website: https://www.dsb.gv.at/

You may also contact another competent supervisory authority within the European Union.

16. Security

I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.

The website is transmitted encrypted via HTTPS.

17. Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy may be adapted if the website, the services used or the legal requirements change.

The current version is always available on this website.
